From a gadget obsessed teen to founding her own company, Renate has spent decades immersing herself in every aspect of mobile and consumer technology.

Renate Nyborg is the former Chief Executive Officer of Tinder, the world’s most popular app for meeting new people. Prior to her appointment as CEO, Renate was leading Tinder's European business. Her career has spanned the creation and leadership of the International Product & Marketing group at meditation app Headspace, as well as leading the app store subscription business in Europe for Apple. In her twenties she founded an app development company named Pleo and also ran Mobile globally for Edelman.

Renate is of Norwegian and Dutch origin and has worked in London, Silicon Valley, Stockholm, Paris and Switzerland. She is a Philosophy graduate of Cambridge University. She loves her piano and music, as well as hiking or skiing around the Alps.
